NCCE 200 Digital Video for Special Events
Prerequisite: None
This one-day workshop is for beginners who want to learn how to capture
video on their point and shoot digital camera or camcorder and then edit the
clips using Apple's iMovie, Adobe's Premiere Elements or Windows XP
Moviemaker. Lecture topics include: understanding your camera/camcorder
video menus and controls, lighting and composition. Students will learn how
to edit and save a short video clip, and upload it to YouTube or Facebook.
Examples of scenic, wildlife and people-based video will be discussed and
critiqued. There will be a one-hour lunch break from 12 noon to 1 pm.
Students are encouraged to bring their own food as well as their camera,
owner's manual and tripod.
