NCCE 200 Figurative Sculpture
Prerequisite: None
Taught by internationally acclaimed artist Jane Bunge-Noffke, in an
atmosphere of support and encouragement capture the human form through
sculpting with clay. Experience the joy of modeling while focusing on
composition, gesture and proportion of the figure. Students will
explore the human form by using the fundamentals of anatomy and structure
and modeling approaches that render expression and feeling. Basic clay
modeling and sculpture techniques will be taught. Working from live
models, one sculpture will be created, a bust (head and shoulders) or a full
figure.
