The Assessment Center of Lansing Community College provides high quality placement, certification, online and hybrid testing and offers support for face-to-face courses. The Assessment Center's goal is to offer tests in an academically secure environment that optimizes learning for students, faculty and the community.

Attention All Students!
Lansing Community College Assessment
Center is the place where you can take
placement tests for reading, writing, and math.
Placement tests can be waived under certain
circumstances. To see if you have other
test scores, completed courses, or degrees that
may qualify for a waiver, please
visit the
waiver team
website.
You may also take exams to satisfy
course requirements, if your instructor has made
arrangements for you to do so. If you
have questions about course-related testing
(paper/pencil or online), first check with your
instructor about arrangements they may have
made. You may also call the Assessment Center at
(517) 267-5500.
Bring your picture ID!
A picture ID is required to take a test at the
Assessment Center.
Those not able to provide an
acceptable form of picture ID will not be
allowed to test. Acceptable forms
of picture ID are as follows:

Driver's license

LCC Star Card
-
MSU student ID card
-
Any ID card from a school, provided it has the student's name and picture on it.

Work ID with name and picture

Passport
Unacceptable forms of ID include (but are not limited to) the following:

Social Security card

Credit card

ID without both a first name and last name, and a picture
