ANNOUNCEMENTS

Lansing Community College's Varsity Baseball and Softball teams traveled to Florida for Spring Training this week. The Stars Softball team (ranked 3rd in the nation) is 6-2 beating Rock Valley CC (IL) 3-1, Lincoln College (IL) 4-3, Itasca CC (MN) 13-2, Kishwaukee College (IL) 13-6, Rock Valley College (IL) 4-0 and North Iowa Area CC (IA) 5-0. The only losses for the Stars were to John A. Logan CC (IL) 10-2 and Kishwaukee College (IL) 1-0.

Softball is coached by:
Head Coach: Bob Every
Assistant Coaches: Jerry Murphy, Jeff Kegler and Pat Malloy

Stars Baseball is 1-4 overall. The team beat Sauk Valley CC (IL) 10-7, but lost to Lafleche 9-2, Vermillion CC (IL) 8-5, Nassau CC (NY) 14-3 and Sauk Valley CC (IL) 14-10.

Baseball is coached by: Head Coach: Ed Powers
Assistant Coaches: Steve Walker, Steve Wendry and Youngjin Yoon

Lansing Community College's Hockey Club completed their season yesterday at the National tournament with losses to the Knights of Central Florida (6-4) and the CSU-Northridge Matadors (8-6).

*** There will be NO OPEN GYM beginning March 15 through March 19. ***

LCC Varsity Sports:

LCC sponsors nine intercollegiate sports. Fall semester athletes participate in men's and women's cross-country and women's volleyball. Our Winter/Spring sport offerings feature men's and women's basketball and Outdoor Track. The year's competition concludes in the spring with women's softball, and men's baseball. LCC teams have produced numerous All-American teams and individuals. We are proud of our strong tradition in representing LCC and the MCCAA at NJCAA Championships.
