Ragtime, The Musical The Tony Award-winning musical with book by Terrence McNally, lyrics by Lynn Ahrens, and music by Stephen Flaherty, based on the critically acclaimed 1975 novel by E.L. Doctorow. Ragtime explores the tumultuous social changes at the beginning of the 20th Century as seen through the eyes and experiences of an African American musician, his lover and friends, an upper middle class white family, and a Russian Jewish immigrant and his daughter. Directed by Mary Job, musical direction by John Dale Smith, and choreography by Melissa Lilje. Part of the Stages of Law theatre series sponsored by Cooley Law School.
