College-Wide Assessment

The College-Wide Assessment Committee's (CWAC) goals include identifying, as well as understanding, issues and concerns related to learning outcomes assessment at Lansing Community College. The Committee achieves its goals through an educational and supportive approach. The CWAC has created a Faculty Assessment Consultant Team (FACT) for the specific purpose of supporting and assisting programs and faculty with their assessment needs by:

  • Providing nitty-gritty, hands-on support to accomplish assessment-related work, such as writing measureable and appropriate student learning outcomes, developing authentic assessment methods, rubrics, etc., at the lesson, course or program level.
  • Helping programs access assessment examples, materials, and resources.
  • Offering feedback as new and/or revised assessment methods are created.

This Team is comprised of five CWAC members and is ready to assist faculty and programs with assessment needs beginning Fall Semester 2010. You may contact any of the following FACT members to initiate assessment support from the Team:
