NCCE 200 Special Effects, Fireworks and Astro Photography
Prerequisite: None
This three week class explores the art of photographing fireworks displays,
the moon and stars, neon signs and man-made light sources. These bright,
colorful subjects make strong images when placed against a dark background
or the night sky. They are also a challenge to photograph. This course
includes three evening lectures at LCC East Campus and one evening field
trip: Sunday, July 4 to photograph the State Capitol fireworks displays from
downtown Lansing, Michigan. Students are encouraged to bring tripods. Learn
how to take pictures in the dark. Explore the night sky and focus on
infinity.
